After literally years of anticipation, the Playstation 3 gamers, as well as PC gamers, finally get what they want. Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City will be coming to both the Playstation 3 and PC platforms on March 30th, 2010.
We are happy to announce the much anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Games for Windows® – LIVE on March 30, 2010. For the first time, PlayStation 3 and Games for Windows – LIVE players will have the opportunity to experience the last two thrilling chapters of the Grand Theft Auto IV saga. The two action packed episodes will also be available for download on the PlayStation Network and Games for Windows® LIVE on March 30, 2010. Each episode boasts the same detailed and immersive Liberty City we all know and love. Games for Windows – LIVE players can enjoy 32-player multiplayer matches and an advanced video editor, and all fans will have the chance to once again listen to the dulcet tones of Liberty City Radio.
The two episodes mentioned, if you don’t already know, are “The Lost and Damned” and “The Ballad of Gay Tony.” You’ll have the option to download them seperately from the Playstation Store or Games for Windows LIVE Marketplace, or purchase them together on a disc that will be available in stores, just like the Xbox 360 version. |

In what is now being referred to as the quietest launch in franchise history, Chinatown Wars is now available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The game snuck its way onto the App Store sometime early this morning without any announcement or rumor whatsoever. The game is available for a much smaller price tag of $9.99 than that of the PSP and DS versions. But that seems to be a good thing, because early reports indicate that the game is a pretty near reproduction of the DS and PSP versions. It's also kind of fun to take into consideration that atleast one Grand Theft Auto title is now available on every current gaming platform except for the Nintendo Wii. Oh poor Wii. If only you could compete. |

Rockstar Games has just announced that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be released for iPhone and iPod touch later this year. The game is being developed by the same company that makes the PSP GTA games, Rockstar Leeds. This version of the game will be available this Fall.
Chinatown Wars is already out for the Nintendo DS, and scored very positive reviews. A PSP version of the game is coming out October 22nd.
I am sort of anxious to see how well this game will fair against the other GTA-like games already on the App Store, like: Payback, Gangstar: West Coast Hustle and Car Jack Streets. Car Jack Streets was actually developed by Tag Games, an independent mobile game developer that has some close ties to the early days of Rockstar Games. |

As promised, Rockstar has released seven brand new screenshots for the PSP version of Chinatown Wars. The new screens show that the PSP version is of a much higher quality than the DS version, visually at least. Sadly, we can't post them on here at the moment. Our gallery is acting fishy. We'll upload them soon though. |

On Rockstar's newly designed website, it has been announced that the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City will go live on September 1st, 2009. This trailer will show us the first footage of The Ballad of Gay Tony. In that same news post, Rockstar included a teaser of the upcoming trailer, which appears to be a portion of the trailer cut down into individual frames. It's obviously of someone skydiving, most likely Luis. Perhaps this is a new feature in the upcoming DLC. We'll know soon enough. |

Rockstar Games has announced that GTA: Chinatown Wars will in fact be heading to the PSP later this year. "We're proud to extend this truly unique handheld Grand Theft Auto experience to PSP and offer a downloadable version of Chinatown Wars for PSP®go," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "Rockstar Leeds has shown incredible talent in creating games that raise the bar in terms of depth and innovation on portables, and with Chinatown Wars we have a rich, fast-paced, and incredibly addictive entry into the series." "Rockstar's work with the GTA series has been an enormous part of the success of PlayStation platforms," said Jack Tretton, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America. "We're excited to welcome the critically acclaimed Chinatown Wars to the outstanding line-up of great games headed to the PSP platform this fall." It'll be interesting to see how Rockstar Leeds, the development team behind the GTA PSP games, will port Chinatown Wars to the PSP considering the PSP doesn't have the touchscreen features. However, the PSP version will utilise the system's power, featuring revised widescreen visuals as well as enhanced animations and more story missions. As Sam Houser mentioned above, the game will be available on UMD and as a digital download from the Playstation Store when the game launches. No exact release date has been announced.
